TURTLE INTERIORS AT SEALIFE, HUNSTANTON

Learn more about when we were called to make a special lifting platform for a Very Important Turtle.

The majestic Green Sea Turtle, classified as endangered with populations declining add an important cog to the oceans ecosystems and connecting water habitats. As is becoming more and more apparent it is now more important than ever to learn as much as we can about these fascinating communities of sea creatures and try to help protect what little environment they have left.

Adult Green Sea Turtles are usually found in the subtropical and tropical seas of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Ocean but we are lucky enough in Norfolk to be able to visit Ernie, one very important Green Sea Turtle at SEALIFE Centre, Hunstanton who has been delighting visitors and supporting research for many years now.

We were delighted to be asked to get involved in this special project at the centre and enjoyed being tasked with such an unusual project to create a lifting platform to assist in safely and smoothly lifting Ernie out of the water when he needs to be checked by staff or the medical team.

You can find out more about the important conservation work SEALIFE, Hunstanton is doing here.
